I had a wonderful session with Ellie. She was SUCH a trooper. It was so cold outside and she was so good not to complain a peep as I kept asking her to take off her jacket and pose. She is exquisite isn’t she? Wish the ground had been more flat – could have gotten a leap or two. But I was so happy for the images I captured. Enjoy your peek Ellie! More to follow….

{Ben}

Ben was a ham and so fun to work with. This was a ‘lighting check’ in front of the window and I decided to snag a picture of him while we were waiting to do a family shot. I loved the innocence in this picture!

Last year I had every intention of sending out family Christmas cards. I even had my cousin Danielle who is a photographer in Washington State take family pictures for us -however, my father had a heart attack that month and I was gone back in Idaho all of December so was unable to do so.

So this year – I was determined to take family pictures again and send them out. Every time I tried to get an ‘entire’ family session together we got too busy. So I decided to do a session with the kids. They were not thrilled to say it mildly. “Mom, why do we have to do pictures AGAIN?” They began to complain as we got to the field I had dreamt of doing the pictures in. I became so frustrated and threaten to take technology for an entire month if they did not cooperate for as long as I needed them too. They zipped their lips but had a hard time snapping out of their funk. Needless to say, I had to erase several tears off the boys faces – but ended up with some beautiful shots.

And they ask photographers why we don’t have more family pictures around our house when it is our trade? Hmmmmm…….I wonder?? So if you are wondering why my husband and I are not present in a more family pictures please refer to this pathetic information. Sad to say, I have to pay another photographer to take pictures of our family from now on. And nope, the self-timing thing has never worked :) Wouldn’t that just be wonderful though??

Is she not the cutest you have ever seen! I have been doing little ‘O’s’ pictures since she was a baby – and she just gets more cuter the older she gets. (If that is even possible?) How adorable is her holiday dress? Do you think she loves the camera or what? I just want to pinch her little cheeks everytime I see her! Enjoy your peek ‘Mama D!’
